The Mayaro/Guayaguayare Regional Education Committee (MGREC) is a dedicated team of educators and community leaders committed to fostering educational excellence in our region.
The MGREC Mission
Our mission is to ensure that every student in the Mayaro/Guayaguayare region has access to a high-quality education that meets their unique needs and prepares them for success in a rapidly changing world. We are committed to creating a culture of continuous improvement, where all students are empowered to reach their full potential.
The Mayaro/Guayaguayare Regional Education Committee believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. Our mission is to provide quality educational opportunities, promote academic achievement, and support the holistic development of all students in the Mayaro/Guayaguayare region. We are proud to serve our community and strive to create an inclusive, engaging, and inspiring learning environment for every student.

Vision
Our vision is a community where all students are inspired to explore their passions, develop their talents, and achieve their highest potential. We envision a future where our students are not only academically successful but also socially responsible, culturally aware, and prepared to contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.
Our vision aligns with The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has outlined 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
The MGREC’s mission and vision align with several of these goals:
01. Quality Education (Goal 4)
Our commitment to providing quality educational opportunities directly aligns with Goal 4 of the SDGs, which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”
02. Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10)
By striving to create an inclusive learning environment, we are working towards Goal 10, which seeks to “reduce inequality within and among countries”. We believe that every student deserves access to a high-quality education.
03. Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17)
As a committee of educators and community leaders, we understand the importance of partnerships in achieving our mission. This aligns with Goal 17, which aims to “strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development”
